Toss it up in the air, it floats as well as keeps an eye wherever you go. It flies by itself trailing a round tracking device you can put on your wrist, in your pocket, or a moving land or water vehicle. It lands on ground and floats safely in water.

All you need to do is tap the circular contraption and selfie drone Lily follows a set of commands.  The wearable drone focuses on you as it records images and sounds, executing clever shots while you are in motion. It’s what you expect in a developed point and shoot with a more advanced technology.

Lily Companion App includes: change camera setting, custom shots, edit and share content, and is available on iOS and Android. The tracking device has a four hour battery life, built-in lithium-ion battery, and can be charged via micro USBc.

Co-founders Antoine Balaresque (CEO) and Henry Bradlow (CTO) created the Lily prototype in September 2013. Nghia Ho is its computer vision engineer while Robb Englin handles Lily’s hardware and Rowland O’Flaherty is responsible for Lily’s controls.

Their mission is to formulate ideas and produce tools that enable effortless expression. It is supported and subsidized by key players from Silicon Valley such as recognized networker and angel investor Ron Conway.

Bradlow wants to develop a small handy version of Lily. The current model is big and is at $499 if you pre-order.
